Setting up skills in Shiftbase

In Shiftbase it is possible to create skills. You can link these skills to employees and shifts. Matching skills to employees and shifts ensures that you always have employees with the right skills at work. This can also be used during scheduling.

In this article, you will learn how to add the skills in the settings, so you can add them to the shifts and employees after this. 

Adding skills

The first thing you need to do is to create a Skill group
You can do this by going to Settings. In the left menu, you can click on Employees > Skills. Then, click on + Add skill group and click on + Add skill, to insert the skill itself. 

Example: You have a specific shift that only employees can work that posses the skills "ERS". You can then name the skill group Emergency Response Services. You give the skill itself the name ERS.
