What do the different time off balances mean?

In this Article you can find out what the different time off balances mean.

In Shiftbase there are different time off balances which are displayed in the Absence Subheader. What they mean you can find out here:

• Today in the absence balance means how many hours of leave the employee has accrued on this day (meaning today).
• Taken represents the hours of leave taken in this year. Only approved absence requests are displayed as Taken.
• Starting balance is the remaining leave from last year that has been carried over into this year.
• Ending balance is the total leave entitlement for the entire year. If the employee started later than January 1st, then the calculation is based on the start date of their contract until the end of the year.
