Full API access
In this article you can find out how to access our Public API.
Public API
API stands for Application Programming Interface and offers the possibility to link software to each other regardless of the programming language. Because our API is public, software developers can independently set up a link in .json format.
The API can be used for exchanging data between software packages, but also for reading data from a BI (Business Intelligence) tool.
A few examples of API calls:
-
Exchanging employee data, (name and address, contracts, absence and leave, overtime)
-
Exchange work schedule (services, occupation, open services, forecast, budget)
-
Exchange of time registration data
-
Clocks of employees
-
Reading reports
More information and the description can be found on our Apiary page:

How to request an API token
To be able to make use of our API, you must request an API token in the App center in Shiftbase. Navigate in Shiftbase to Settings > App center > Public API. Find the tile for Public API and press the Install button.
Before you receive a token, you will be asked to enter a name for the token.
After you've provided a name, you will be directed to the overview of your tokens. In this view, you can add another token by pressing +Add App Token if you need.
