How referrals work

All users in the Shiftbase account can recommend using Shiftbase. By referring Shiftbase, both parties will be rewarded! Read below how the rewards are currently structured. 

• The new customer receives a 50% discount on their plan for the first 3 months. If they choose a yearly plan, the discount is spread evenly across the year (equivalent to 12.5% off for 12 months).
  • Example Premium Plan: 
    • The new customer gets 50% off for 3 months and pays €36 a month instead of €72.
• The referrer receives 30% of the referred customer’s subscription costs, capped at €250 in total. As the new customer receives a discount in their first months, this temporarily reduces the referrer’s payout during that initial period.
  • Example Premium Plan: 
    • During the first 3 months, the new customer pays €36 due to the 50% discount. Therefore, the payout to the referrer is 30% of €36:  €10.80 a month.
    • After three months, the new customer pays €72. The payout to the referrer is €21.60 a month till the cap of €250 is reached.

How to do a referral

In the Mobile app, you will find the referral page on the top left of the Home page. On desktop, you will find the referrals on the top right of the screen.

By clicking on the icon, you will find the following screen. Click on Share invite link to copy a unique link. Once your connection becomes a Shiftbase customer, you will receive an email confirmation of your confirmed referrals and rewards. 

To keep track of how your referrals and rewards are going, click on Rewards on the top right. In this view, you see the rewarded amount in euro's.

To be able to receive payouts, you can connect your PayPal account in the referral screen. Fill in the following information.

• Email: Email address
• Full name: State your full legal name
• Address details: Address details like Address line, city and postcode.
• I want to get rewarded as a business: If you wish to receive rewards as a business, please provide:
  • Business name: Name of the business entity
  • VAT number: the unique number that identifies the taxable business
