If you've been invited to an open shift you can find the request on the top right bell symbol on your Dashboard.
Now you have to switch to the open shift tab. Here you can see all the open shifts you have been invited to. To react to one of the open shifts, simply click on it.
You can now decide if you want to take over the shift or decline it. If you decline the shift, it will be deleted from your open shifts tab.
Depending on if the shift has additional approval required by your manager, it will now immediately be shown in your schedule or first needs to be approved by your planner. You can see if additional approval is required, if it says so in the open shift request.
Reacting to open shifts over the web
When logged in to the webversion of Shiftbase, you can easily check and react to open shifts if you click on your icon on the top right and select My Requests
Here you can see all open shifts you have been invited to. Now click on the magnifying glass behind the open shift you want to react to.
You can now with the module that popped up decide, if you want to Accept / Request / Decline the shift:
Depending on if the shift has additional approval required by your manager, it will now immediately be shown in your schedule or first needs to be approved by your planner. You can see if additional approval is required, if it states Request shift instead of Accept shift.
