You can easily manage your login information in Shiftbase. You do this by clicking on your name in the top right of the blue bar, and then on My Login.
Change profile picture
You will see on the left side of your screen below the default image, a button with Change Profile Picture. Click this to change the image. You can drag a file of up to 5 MB into the blue area, or select it by clicking on the blue area.
Enter the new email address, in the text box provided. Repeat below to make sure you have entered the correct address. Enter your password and click the green Change Email button to save the change.
⚠️ Note: Your set email address is also your username. So if you change this the login details will also change immediately. All notifications from Shiftbase will now also be sent to the new address.
Enter the new password, in the text box provided. Repeat below to make sure you have entered the correct new password. Fill in your current password again and click the green Change Password button to save the change.
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a safe way to log in, as this provides an extra layer of security. When you have MFA set up you have to provide a verification code in addition to your password when logging in.
To set up MFA click on the green button Set up multi-factor authentication on the right. Follow the three steps shown on your screen and click Save.
💡 Tip: It is possible to make the use of MFA mandatory for employees. You can do this from the settings.
Multi-factor authentication backup
We strongly recommend that you keep the backup code and set up a backup email when using MFA. You can use this if you unexpectedly don't have access to your authenticator.
- Backup code:
In case of loss, theft or a broken phone, it is possible to use this code to disable multi-factor authentication.
- Backup e-mail:
A backup e-mail address can be used to receive a login link to regain access to the account. This email address must be a different email than the one you use to log in.
⚠️ Note: Do you no longer have access to your account and you have not set a backup code and/or email? Then your supervisor can manually disable the MFA for your account.
In the overview of active sessions you can see where and on which devices you are currently logged in with your Shiftbase account. By clicking on the red button Log out on all devices you can logout all these active sessions.
